Little Red Riding Hood! 1st chemo done Yey!

Hello to all fellow blog watchers. Well my 1st chemo is done and I am feeling surprisingly well. Had some stinging and burning sensation in the eyes and nose and a slight headache towards the end of the drugs being administrated but otherwise no other immediate side effects apart from the bright orange wee!

The cold cap treatment which lasts three and a half hours is pretty awful especially in the first 15-25 minutes, it is quite painful to begin with but after a while it does ease although not a pleasant experience, I was happier when it was over.
Anyway we finally left the hospital after having been there for five and a half hours. I have had something to eat and feel fine although I am now feeling generally very tired but it has been a long day. I have been given an array of tablets to take which starts tonight. Feeling very positive about things.

  5. Thanks for all your comments so far. They really do brighten up my spirits. Yes the hat is really cool! Well actually it's freezing. I am looking forward to wearing it again in about 3 weeks time! Still managing to keep feeling well although quite tired now. Nick has even learned how to make scrambled egg! He has been wonderful as ever. I'm just so lucky really. Keep the comments coming and I will try to post again soon. :)
